Lenovo Concept PC MWC 2025, Solar Panels On A Laptop #shorts

what would you do if a company decided to put solar panels on the back of your laptop to enable you have a better battery life and also to somewhat trickle charge your computer using an array of micro panels on the back of the laptop capable of pulling power from ambient light in an office all the way up to direct solar power.

this is a short showcasing that specific concept laptop from Lenovo during our visit to mwc 2025

For an ultrabook that uses very low power, I can see this as a means to extend the battery life or even have it recharge during the day while camping.

Solar panels on tech like phones, laptops, or even power banks are the dumbest thing. Literally the care instructions for all those things tell you not to store in sunlight.

It looks like it produces just enough power... to keep the real-time clock charged... 🤦. So just a waste of money.

Question - what happens when you leave your smartphone out in the sun? It gets very hot and over time, you can damage the device. People buying this device will likely do the same. Bad marketing

Laptops Producesrs have now couple issues:-none removable battery
- short life battery!
