I played HS basketball and if I had intentionally knocked an opposing player to the floor as Chennedy did, I would have been ejected from the game and my victim would have gotten to shoot two technical foul shots. And the fallout for me would have been much worse. When I was a kid growing up in Asheville, a riot broke out on the basketball court during an official game. The riot erupted after one player physically assaulted an opponent.

Reese’s sideline reaction to Carter knocking Clark to the floor when the ball was not even in play exposed the lie Reese has been telling ever since the 2023 NCAA championship game, that she has no beef with Clark.

The Sky's coach should have sat Carter out the rest of the game, and perhaps the next one as well. Carter's blind-side assault on Clark occurred when the ball wasn't even in play. What was worse, was seeing her and Reese happily celebrating the nasty cheap shot shortly after. It speaks volumes about their character, or lack of. Playing rough is one thing but that kind of sh*t should not be tolerated.

I have a feeling Carter and Reese thought the cheap shot was worth it even though it cost them the game. Because of Carter's antics, Caitlin was awarded and made 2 free throws helping the Fever to go on and win by 1 point.
