No, nothing wrong with the Ecoboost V6.
But V8 is a dream for me, and if I had the way$ to purchase one of these, I'd definitely go for the Raptor R.

I have those two exact raptors. Identical colors but I took all the decals off of the R looks way better.
I love the R much better for the power but the Shelby is definitely more comfortable.

An Ecoboost engine should NEVER be in anything with the Shelby name on it!! Should be reserved for V8s!!

Both very cool trucks. Tough choice. In this particular comparison i would take the v8. Don’t like all the shelby logos on the truck, and the v8 gives the sounds that most want with this type of vehicle. Of course i would be happy with just a standard raptor with ecoboost.

Resale value the raptor R is better. Shelby doesn’t even build these trucks. A third party contractor company like Tuscany does. I know because I owned a 2021 Shelby super snake 775hp. The put covers on the brake calipers that say Shelby. Not even Brembo for the money.

I'm a Ford Raptor enthusiast and currently own the 2nd gen Raptor. I went over to do an oil change at the Ford dealership the other day and got a good look at the Shelby Raptor in all different colors. Oh boy, let me tell you the Shelby Raptor in color black and Gray is the coolest looking F150 truck I've ever seen hands down!! Next to the Ram TRX fully equipped, I still think the Shelby Raptor looks slightly better. If I had the money to buy both trucks, I'd rather go with the Shelby Raptor 🤘 200 extra horse powers over the Shelby looks isn't worth it!! The Shelby Raptor is an absolute looking masterpiece and you'll save a lot more money on gas.
