Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6...Stick With The Fold 5? | TSW202

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 should be launching in the next month, so here's the latest leaks and rumours on this mighty foldable phone. Can the Samsung Z Fold 6 compete vs the OnePlus Open, Honor Magic V2 and the other best folding phones?

Well, so far it seems to be only a minor evolution over the Galaxy Fold 5 from last year, if those leaks are accurate. Samsung is apparently sticking with the same camera tech according to some rumours for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, while others suggest it might come in an 'Ultra' or 'Slim' model with a 200MP shooter.

Battery life could be marginally better, although charging speeds will remain lethargically slow. No complaints with the performance though as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will rock Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, for beefy gaming action.

So, the cover display will likely still be narrow, there's no talk of S Pen stylus integration, and it looks like the Z Fold 6's specs aren't much of an upgrade. Will we see an UItra, Slim or FE version? We'll maybe see on July 10, when Samsung is said to be launching its 2024 Galaxy Foldable.

Upgrading every 3 to 4 years is probably the best option. I did and i can say it's like a whole new experience. Gives the companies time to iron out certain bugs and what not.

Now that I have the Honor Magic V2, the only way I will go back to Sammy is if they slim the phone to the same thickness. And keep wireless power sharing/charging. That's the only thing I miss on the V2 as I like to be able to top up my watch.

You would have been proud of me last weekend, I managed a 14 hour drinking session only to at the end of the night falling down some stairs as I left the pub, cutting my head and giving myself a blackeye, some how I managed to save my phone from getting damaged in the process, so a win.

I wish 10 year old me knew how to track down the mobile phone rumour mill in the early 2000s because I guarantee times were exciting when the more reliable rumour spreaders talked of things like the Siemens SF65 and the Nokia N-Gage.

Yeah the quality of both phones might've been a bit cack but imagine hearing rumours of a phone that could transform into a compact camera or a phone that was also a handheld console! Hell, the original Motorola V3 RAZR must've felt like something from the distant future when that was first rumoured.

I like how companies resell the same shayt every year and people just go buy and buy and buy the same crap all over again 😂. I still own S10 and as a phone, camera and youtube user i feel no difference between my S10 and friends S23 or iphone15. Crazy.

The biggest saving grace for me is the samsung software. My one plus is boring in comparison especially with Samsungs front screen and inside screen customizing and good lock but I dont know if I could justify a possible price increase for next to nothing upgrades. I do like the squared off shape but I really hoped they'd make it a little wider. But I unfortunately never really gave the outer screen a chance because it was hard to read and content was too small for my liking when I didn't feel like opening up the phone. I suppose they're pulling an Apple and keeping it that way to stand out against the crowd vs catering to what other people may want. I'm on the fence of whether or not to upgrade to another phone or hope that more Asian foldables make it to the US market (doubtful).

Other foldables have poor software experiance and Samsung refuses to give a proper foldable with wide front screens. What a shame!!!

3:38 Both sides here said IP68 so I'd be very skeptical. We heard before the Z Fold 5 launched that we'd see IP58 but na-da, no dust resistance this time around, it seems.

It winds me up these cheaper versions why don't they just drop the prices instead of Fan Editions etc and stick a bloody charger in the box flippin eck they always cut corners and no its not saving on the environment. I was disappointed not to have a charger with my s24 ultra been the same for years I still use my s20 charger it'd still good as new but it's just if you get your first phone and it's an apple or a galaxy you get shafted without a charger bit shizz
