There’s literally a base setting for the game to have a preferred book as your default. You just can’t set it as such for scheme declarations

Custom playbook and formation subs alobg with create play needs to be in the scheme options period. I should be able to simulate and my team should retain the player placements i have set notbincluding injury. Injuries should be next man up based off depth chart until cleared then reinserted into the original set by the player. Its 2024 this is sad...
