Some people truly believe this relic to be the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth, while others simply dismiss it as a hoax. Frank explains why he does not ever use it as evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, but he also doesn't dismiss completely. Check it out!

Doesn't matter to me if it's fake, because I trust what the bible says about Jesus resurrection.

Even if it was authentic and even if science proves that its authentic some people will not believe but not because there is no evidence but becausr they dont want to believe
JESUS IS LORD

Waiting for that atheist to show up, educating us all on wattage and how the image appeared on the shroud.

Honestly, it makes no difference to my faith whether it's real or not
Same if they found any other artifact from anyone or anything from the Bible. I'm already convinced that all of it is true. The risen Lord already changed my life forever and I've had a relationship with Him for almost 20 years. A piece of cloth would make no difference now.

Whether or not it’s authentic doesn’t change the argument for the resurrection. We have not seen yet we believe and that’s good enough for me.

Intriguing piece of history but neither here nor there in terms of the resurrection of Jesus. What I love about Jesus is that He is real, every moment of every day. Yes, maybe an atheist or believer in another faith can ridicule me, but I believe every word of the Bible is God-breathed and so that's the facts on which I base my faith, but even aside from that, speaking to and living with Jesus even in this world is a joy no words can describe. My source of joy, peace and grace all day every day.

Loving message. Whoever is reading this everything that the enemy stole from you will be restored sevenfold God has heard your cry and will fulfill His promise.

I have read as much as I could find on it. The evidence from the scientific examination shows as conclusively as anything can be shown that it cannot be a fake, a fraud, or a hoax. If it is not the genuine burial shroud of Christ then it is still the most amazing relic in all of human history.

*BACKGROUND DISCLAIMER* (Edit note. Btw, I'm 100% sure the Shroud is what it is. I'll show scripture for Christian brothers & sisters <3)
Ex-atheist. Up until age 25 and I started to really have doubts in Atheism (Satanism, "Do as thou wilt."). But with integrity and honesty I came to Christ through non-stop studying of things from Mesopotamian Mythos, Annunaki, Epic of Gilgamesh, earliest grave iconography, into Cannaite Culture and Egyptology, development of Judaism versus others, into the Contextual Criticisms of the New Testament.
Now, in truth, a lot of this was just confirmation to my former man, and a ways to feed my atheistic mind. But I want to stress that even in my self when I doubted God and Jesus, with true integrity, I read the New Testament and I don't think there's anyone who can honestly read the words of Jesus and not come to the admittance that they hold such transcendent value that cross epochs of time, generations of people and cultures, civilizations, that it's rather eerie.
So now fast forward post Christian me, 2 years into after coming to Christ and I want to strengthen what I know on top of a lot of the Apologetics I was grinding. I started to look into extra-biblical evidence that focused around Jesus specifically. Because I already felt great about archaeological discoveries such as Pontius Pilate name found inscribed, Belshazzar's name being found on that obelisk story, etc.
I stumbled upon the Shroud of Turin. Now here I am, 27 at this point in the story (30 now) and as I said, I never had heard of the Shroud. Not in all my years previous to this one, and it was kind of shaking my new faith, because I TOO THOUGHT it was a fake at first or some embellishment. Well I had held to some concept of Sola scriptura and said they'd have to mention the Shroud right? *THEY DO* Even Psalms does, and earlier visions of the Son of Man in Ezekiel and Daniel, he's wrapped in a linen cloth. This linen cloth is used a lot the along the Son of Man.
And then there's Paul's mentioning of it. (I will post scripture connecting the dots of the Shroud later.)
There's a brother who's channel is *GoodShepard Film Productions* and he had AMAZING videos on the Shroud of Turin. There's a TED Talk by Guy William, another amazing video series. And the thing blew my mind, I was kind of speechless tbh. The fact it holds a 3-dimensional information for rendering from this linen cloth, and it's THEE first ever photograph basically/x-ray scan, etc. The fact the back of the image has a BACK, radiation levels, etc. Anyway ...
My confidence in Christ LORD God had increased an infinite fold, and I started even using the Shroud in my apologetics.
Gary, who I HAD NO CLUE was who he was. Thought he was just some guy at a convention for the Shroud lol He has this video of a 2018/17 conference where they discuss if the Shroud is an Icon or Fake or Relic. It was very eye opening for me to realize that if it was fake/art then why isn't it celebrated for it's "technique" and such by the art world. There's plenty of "religious" artists and paintings that get recognized.
Why not the Shroud?
Because it's genuine. It's real. And Satan/Samael doesn't want you EVEN any where close to the truth, not even for a bit.
As far as I'm concerned this is the nail in the coffin. (or onto the Cross you might say!)
This is the empirical evidence all you whining self proclaimed seekers of truth are looking for. But even then, you'll return to your vomit I'll assume.
We all have to stumble, but we can rise if we kill our egos and the Shadows of our selves, all that thought comes from Christ LORD Jesus.
Blessings to you all, your loved ones, and even so your enemies. For the Glory and the Kingdom of the Power of God is at Hand, always has been, always will be, for ever and ever. Amen.

@Cross Examined
While Gary can be 80% sure that it is authentic, I can be 100% sure that it is completely irrelevant to the gospel.

Who cares? Whether it's authentic or not, has no impact on my faith in Jesus.

1) The radiocarbon results obtained in 1988 were criticized by the researcher himself - Raymond Rogers. 13th and 14th century are simply wrong dating.
2) Shroud is dated from 200 BC to 200 AD
3) It takes the wattage of the whole stadium to produce the image. Impossible unless you have a time machine to go to 13th or 14th century.
4) Wounds on the Shroud perfectly correlate with the Scripture: crown of thorns, the pierced side, water, bilirubin, traces of scourging. The attempt to disprove it in 2018 was nothing but the laughing stock.
5) The image cannot be copied even nowadays.
6) The blood pattern on the face perfectly line up with the Sudarium of Oviedo
7) Blood type is AB similar to the Sudarium, Miracle of Lanciano and other Eucharistic Miracles
8) Pollen Grain on the Shroud are from the region of Judea.
9) Coins had been minted by Pontius Pilate
But one can always use: "I am not convinced" or "One day science will find the natural explanation"

"I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." Isa 42:8. The Shroud of Turin is not an image of Jesus

I'm surprised he said 80% because the scientists who examined it believe 100% it's Christ. Barrie Schwartz the leading scientific photographer now advocates the shroud along with many other expert's. I believe it's very necessary to authenticate the shroud because this shows the resurrection and beginning of Christianity.

Has anyone seen the 3D image they made based on the outline of Jesus on the Shroud of Turin?
When I saw it in Israel, I felt this Deja Vu type moment, like I've stood in front of it at that same spot before in my life. Anyway, it's pretty amazing.

It's authentic, even modern day technology cannot recreate what is on the shroud and its X-ray, 3D and ultraviolet image

I do not consider it ‘evidence’ of the Resurrection. I do, however, consider it an amazing gift that our Lord has left behind for us.

God seems to go out of His way to avoid relics surviving. He knows people will worship them or at least believe they hold power(looking at you catholics). So why would He allow the shroud to survive but nothing else? I don't buy it

I don't know whether or not it's authentic, but I agree with Frank: better rely on things we know, rather than things we're "maybe" on.

Doesn't mean it isn't an interesting thing, though.
