The former Vice President and Presidential Aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, has emerged as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Atiku beat 11 other contestants after polling 1, 532 to emerge as the winner of the primary at the National Convention in Port Harcourt.

Other aspirants include Senate President Bukola Saraki polled 317 votes, immediate past Senate President, Senator David Mark 35 votes, Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo 111 votes, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal 693 votes.
