Vogue and Spencer Matthews snubbed sister-in-law Pippa Middleton from second wedding
The couple tied the knot for the second time at Westminster Boating Base just over 12 months since their first wedding
Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews stunned fans when they announced they'd tied the knot for a second time last month.
But it's since transpired some of their family members might have been surprised by their wedding news too.
The pair have revealed that they didn't invite their relatives - including sister-in law-Pippa Middleton - to watch as they made their second trip up the aisle in just over 12 months.Reality star Spencer has royal connections as his older brother James married The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister in May 2017.
Explaining why they'd chosen to 'snub' both their extended families, Vogue said: "It was more like the second day of the wedding, we wanted it to be a big party because we didn't have any of our friends at the first wedding - family weren't invited."
Recalling their fairytale first wedding day last June, Vogue told New magazine: "We only had 20 family members and it was the best day ever, it was perfect - but our friends didn't think it was."
So the popular duo decided to do things a little differently the second time round. They invited 80 of their best pals - with Spencer joking at least 75 were from Vogue's social circle.
Actually Spencer had his fair share of the guestlist, which saw the likes of Made in Chelsea co-stars Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor joining them and Jamie Laing officiating the service.Jamie had to fulfil his duties wearing a moon boot after taking a tumble in training for Strictly Come Dancing .
As the party really got going after the vows, Jamie let his fellow revellers limbo under his crutch.
Spencer and Vogue's second big day was far from traditional in many ways with the happy couple shunning many expected features of the day, including speeches.
Vogue had been heavily pregnant with their son Theordore, now 13 months, at the first nuptials in Scotland. For their first attempt at saying 'I do' Spencer and Vogue married in a secret ceremony at the Matthews family's sprawling Glenn Affric estate in Scotland in the summer of 2018, in front of close family including his brother James and his wife Pippa Middleton.
While their second big day was held in the less grand but still stunning surrounds of Westminster Boating Base on the banks of the River Thames.
