Guild Wars 2 OST - Here be Dragons (Game Version)

From the final battle with the dragon Zhaitan. This is the track as heard in-game, instead of the alternate version on the physical soundtrack. I was disappointed as all hell that this version was not included on the physical soundtrack... So I dug up a gamerip of the soundtrack, and here it is. Enjoy.

Guild Wars felt as something new for me in the high fantasy genre. I absolutely love the scale of the wars. It's not some 'our Adventurer party will fight the evil wizard'. You form armies to take down these titans

I actually prefer that you don't fight Zhaitan "one-on-one, climactic prophecized showdown blah blah". I mean, you spent the whole game uniting all these allies, and almost everyone emphasizes how important working together and uniting against the dragons is. Being just the commander, and not some demigod Dragonborn-esque figure really draws that unity out.

It was so epic to see his reveal. Too bad the actual boss fight is lack luster.

The Zhaitan fight being easy and simple, while feeling a little anticlimatic, it could also be interpreted as a fight where you've united so many strong allies, with such immensely good teamwork, tactics and firepower, while also cutting his supplies short and cornering him, that a massive threat such as zhaitan feels like short work.

Obviously, the same cannot be said about Mordremoth.

First time in this fight and when he makes his first appereance, that definetly WILL give you goosebumps!

They really made an awesome job in making him a fearsome foe

So was downloading the OST for the game and you're right, the official version edits out my favorite part. I don't know why they made that decision but thanks for having a DL link for the "right" version

this track gets me so hyped. sadly the zhaitan fight was.. boring. iam not complaining that you dont fight him head on, thats what the glory of tyria was build for.. its the 5 min of spamming 1 on the canons and watch a HP indicator drop that sucked EVERYTHING out of the battle. no urgency, no pressure. nothing.

It's so easy on purpose. Everyone who followed the story befor should be able to end it without having to become 10 times better from one quest to an other. In my opinion, ArenaNet did a great job with this fight. It was kind of an interactive movie, yeah, but the feeling was epic the first time i've done it. :)

This fight was totally not disappointing, I clearly see that you all find dying a million times fun....I don't however and the dungeon was meant for story. If you want a challenge, Explorable mode is waiting. ArenaNet was just trying to capture the dragon in it's glory and having the feeling of peace as he fell and the airship flew off....ArenaNet did an AMAZING job with the ending, 4 words for ArenaNet....Can't wait for Mordremoth

honestly.. I feelt sorry for Zhaitan.. my favorite thing is in this game the Elder dragons, the Destiny's Edge and the sylvaris.. when I killed zhaitan first I was happy that it was simple but second.. when he was with those pink lasers immobilized or something I was angry. He deserved an epic fight, when we died three times for each percent.. I was angry for Eir and Faolain too.. i hope that Jormag and Primordus get an epic fight...

I like to think the battle against zhaitan is lackuster. If only it continued, like after we shoot Zhaitan in the last session, then its wings destroy our airship, so we fell down then after the crash we fight Zhaitan heads on with some functioning cannon of course. Even add more tension to the story, like Zhaitan plans to fire an energy blast or regenerating or whatever, that would make the battle more epic.
