Set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting, Fallen Land: A Post Apocalyptic Board Game is a hybrid game that combines the elements of a strategy board game, with card building and role-playing. It is driven by macabre stories of a world gone mad and features adventure, politics and economics to deliver an unlimited sandbox experience. Each game the variables change: cards, player interactions, stories, strategies and threats. While the game has a strong pulp influence, its roots stem from Cold War studies. We have expanded upon this research to arrive at our game’s premise: What would happen after a nuclear and biological apocalypse?

The expansion has two solo variants of the game, optional and advanced rules (which has rules for a shorter games too) and allows players to customize and tailor their experience to their own personal preferences. It is a very versatile, go anywhere, do anything immersive board game. You will never, ever, play the same game twice.

Rob, there is already an expansion available "A Journey into darkness" . I believe all the hundreds of stories on the cards are the work of one of the designers, Jon. I knew this one was going to be a winner and backed it on kick starter with the expansion. Still not received here in Europe and reviews like this are not helping the wait!! :-)

Good review Rob....I checked it out on BGG and couldnt believe the difference in their
rating and the average rating.I think it was a 3 point difference.
I agree with you, it sounds like a keeper.

I would really like to see the play through and get Sam involved. War type game what better than Rob and Sam and others to play. I have the game and I haven’t played yet. Trying to get to Iowa City and play or watch Jon and his crew play this game.
