There are a lot of great wrestlers throughout history who have gotten their rightful due for what they’re capable of. Just look at names like Ric Flair, Steve Austin, or John Cena if you need any evidence of this. That said, there are also plenty of performers who never seem to get their credit in the same way. So, let’s rectify this today by shining some spotlight on the performers who deserve it in Hidden Gems: WWE’s Most Underrated Wrestlers.

When i think of the word "underrated", I think of shelton benjamin. The man was insanely gifted athlete.

Chris Kanyon, “The Innovator of Offense”. Got his big start in WCW as Mortis and eventually as Kanyon. Was asked by Eric Bishoff to train young talent and was ask to be a consultant and stunt performer in the movie “Ready to Rumble” In addition, he was a pioneer as he was one of the first active wrestlers to come out as gay. Paved the way for many other wrestlers today. Hugely underrated Wrestler

Owen Hart - Outside of that one iconic feud, WWF never knew what to do with him, so they seemed to just throw him into one tag team after another.

William Regal was so good as a kid i never liked him. But as an adult i realise how good he was and is.

I’m glad that D’Lo is on this list. One thing that people don’t pay attention to is how he got his ring name.

The name "D'Lo Brown" came as a reference to his high school friend, Darren Lewis (nicknamed "D Lewis Lo"), who died of cancer. After Darren passed, Brown asked Darren's mother if he could use the name as a tribute to her son, which she agreed to.

For once, aging badly is a good thing, happy WWE seems to be finally getting behind Gable. He's so damn fantastic, he's literally the modern Angle, the comedy chops and in-ring ability is unreal.

I loved Regals run in AEW as the combat club leader. It was short but he got a lot of recognition.

Back around mid 2000s I was rooting for Shelton Benjamin so hard. His matches were so great and he definitely should’ve won MITB back then.

Same goes for Chad Gable now. He is primed to be the next top underdog like Rey Mysterio and he should be built up by going against Lesnar

My mind always go D-Lo(especially towards the turn of the ruthless aggression era) and Shelton when people say underrated. And Victoria not being in the HoF is bordering on hate at this point

Rhino, Gregory helms, Miz, RVD, Neville, Lance storm, Chris masters, Jon Heidenrich, Wade Barrett, Finaly, Test, Scott steiner, Sylvain grenier, Gene snitsky, Paul London Zack Ryder, Jack swagger, Ken kennedy .... and the list can go as long as you want but I know the amount of wrestling careers that WWE failed to utilize or wasted them on purpose can't sum up in a single video it requires a special documentary on it.

In 1993 as Razor Ramon and Rick Martel faught over the IC Belt I actually rooted for Martel. In my Eyes Razor was a coming Champion who get it anyways sooner or later. For Martel it was maybe the last Chance for Singles Gold in the WWE. I really was hoping that Vince would gave him the Belt as a Sort of "Thank you".

I don't see how Christian is underrated. The dude has had so many championships. He may not be considered a top guy but he's been pushed a lot in every company he's worked for. He's had a damn good career.
