Venusaur EX is strong as hell. It has the highest HP in the game, and it boasts an unprecedented ability to heal and stick on the battlefield, with its own internal healing and Erika! Here's my take on the best Venusaur EX deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket!

Venusaur is my fav pokemon so I love that you’re covering its variants!

I’ve been playing Venusaur since day1 and totally agree with the Sabrina issue with Exeggutor EX.

That said, I’ve found the non-EX version tough to pilot as its damage output always felt lacking. Say for example against Pikachu EX you need 2 heads in a row while the EX version needs only 1 heads out of 2 attacks. Or 2 heads can finish a Mewtwo EX while non-EX needs at least 3 attacks.

Overall I felt like I still prefer playing 2 EX 0 non-EX and just risk getting red carded by only benching if really neccessary, but I definitely agree with the Sabrina issues.

Seeing you post this version makes me want to try it again and I will!

I’ve been playing the version of this deck with 2 Exeggutor EX and 2 potions, but you really feel that weakness to Sabrina. Thanks you for the inspiration to try something new!

grass has definitely been my favorite so far in the game so i've been running this deck, the venusaur ex deck with butterfree and the one with liligant ramp and loving every single one of them. Team Erika all day everyday

I've tried to make this work, and It does, but I'm not trying to take my time and stretch out every battle longer than they should. I do love Eggman tho! Exeggutor and Beedrill is where it's at for me. It's fast. It's aggressive. It's absolutely underrated and no one sees it coming. Definitely tons of coin flip rng, but there's plenty of time to build up energy for retreating and laying the smackdown on literally any of the huge meta decks. I'm actually shocked that there aren't more videos of the eggman/beedrill deck coming out. It's quite strong.

This deck is crazy good late just faced him with starmie ex, i did not manage to get one last point before he was set up the match lastedt for 27 turns before i just lost to Venusaur getting healed by the backline and himself

Do you think going first wouldn't be such a disadvantage if you could add an energy but not attack? I'd say get an extra card but that would just make red card an auto include and negate any benefit of the extra card.
