*Edwina Ke Jawahar:* ❤
1. Rejected a permanent seat at the UN
2. Rejected Nepal’s offer to join Bharat
3. Rejected Balochistan’s offer to join Bharat
4. Created the Kashmir issue
5. Presided over the disastrous Sino-Bharat war
6. Refusal To Enter Nuclear Deal
7. Nehru rejected a US offer of helping Bharat with the development of a nuclear device in 1964 perhaps because he was a proponent of
non-violence.
8. Led the ill-conceived Non-Aligned Movement
9. Indifference towards Goa
10. Favoured Socialism instead of free-market Capitalism.
11. Ignored Corruption
12. Clung to Power for too long
13. Curbed journalistic freedom and freedom of expression
14. Failure to encourage, promote and implement universal primary education
15. Toppled democratically elected Kerala government in 1957
16. Gifted Pakistan
17. Didn't allow Sardar Patel to be the PM
18. Gifting Manipur's Kabo valley to Burma
19. Gifting the strategically located Coco Islands to Burma
20. Refusing the Sultan of Oman's gift of Gwadar port
21. Giving up on Tibet, placing India's water security and northern border at China's mercy
22. Signing the most unequal treaty in history
in 1960, PM Nehru, for the sake of "friendship" and "goodwill" signed one of the most unequal, lopsided treaties ever — the Indus Waters Treaty, giving Pakistan ownership of over three-fourths of the water the flows through the Indus System of Rivers located in Bharat. Pakistan reciprocated Nehru's gesture of goodwill by invading Bharat just five years later.
23. Hostility towards Sardar Patel's restoration of the Somnath Temple
24. Obstructing Sardar Patel's plan to liberate Hyderabad from the murd-er0us Nizam
25. Nehru had a total impractical approach to integrating Kashmir with rest of Bharat. He didn't allow Sardar Patel to deal with Kashmir issue. Patel was quite successful in integrating other troubled regions such as Hyderabad Nizam's province with Bharat.
26. During the Indo-Pak war of 1948 when Bharat was gaining back the Kashmir captured by the invaders, he prematurely went to the UN Security Council. This was a great strategic mistake. Bharat now wants to distance itself from 3rd party intervention in the dispute and the UN resolutions on this, but it is Nehru who did it in the first place.
27. Moreover, We were winning the war against CHlN but Nehru didn't allow Bhartiya Air Force to participate and we lost Aksai Chin area

This was also mentioned in Crown Season 2 in a subtle manner where Lady Edwina talks about Lord Mountbatten's fascination with different uniforms, colours, ball dances with properly dressed men and time he spent with them rather than her.

I also want to share some thing .My father was served for defence service. our neighbour was Major Dhar. His father was a JCO (junior commanding officer)
Once he shared that in what difficulty they fought with China in 1962. With tears and anger he said, they haid boiled rice and not proper shoes also
.Imagine How they fought in siyachin boards with out any facility. Uncle passed away in 2019. but he told his son that present govt has given a free hand and lot of power to Army. Now prime minister visits the jawan, Defence minister has also given lot of facilities which was not there in their days.

Abhijit Sir,

You are so talented, well informed and very smart. Why are you rehashing the past and re-characterizing the people who brought us freedom?
Whatever their drawbacks were, they did fight for our independence. It is akin to sit back and judging our parents and grandparents. Never Healthy. They may have committed a lot of blunders, but they did what they thought best at their time.
We, India - did a lot better than many countries coming of those times - because of them. You have to remember that india was struggling with famine, poverty and hunger.
Most countries celebrate their forefathers and their efforts, and not reminiscing their human deficiencies.
Let’s do the same. Let our children and our future generations celebrate our freedom fighters as a great legacy, instead of a sick and negative heritage.
Giving regards to the past does not diminish the present people who are also doing great things for us.
Thank You, Sir!

Thank you for sharing, I’m British and a history fan and I love your content. Very refreshing to hear different voices talking realistically about history we share together.
Nehru seems like a really interesting guy, I shall be reading about him today so you’ve opened my mind to a new period I can enjoy learning about.
Keep sharing!!

Coupled with that, Edwina is said to have also influenced Nehru on critical decisions and sometimes elicit information or feedback on the matters of the State.

Abhijit ji ko Education minister banao aur humare desh mai Sahi history padhao, kyuki jis Desh ki janata ko uske Desh ki history hi galat padhai jayegi woh janta in partial knowledge par galat decisions lengi
As we know half knowledge is very dangerous
