Kobalt 257 Piece Mechanic's Tool Set Review (2023)

This is my full review of the Kobalt 257 Piece Tool Box in 2023. This tool box has been on sale for many years and is one of the best budget tool box's you can get for below $100. It features all 3 sizes of ratchets, loads of a sockets and many other tools you would need. It is easily one of the best budget mechanic's tool boxes or best mechanics starter tool boxes and still holds its own in 2023. I use this box on the daily as a heavy equipment mechanic and after 4 months of daily use, I am very pleased with it.

This Kobalt tool box shares this price range with Kobalt's other variants to suit different needs but I believe this is the most ideal for a mechanic or technician. It's main rivals are from Husky, Hyper Tough and other store brands at similar price ranges.

Those tools do have a lifetime warranty on the sockets and ratchets, and all u have to do is go to a lowes and they swap it out right then, no mailing

The arrangements and pc count especially when it's the husky brand and the craftsman sets you might want to keep an eye on them they are not the same... and I have looked into getting the 268pc and 290pc husky mechanics tool set with the drawers and I ended up locating the husky brand h194mts mechanic tool set briefcase style case and the better set in my opinion but would be $164 new doesn't have the wrenches has some of them but not all of them and very few bits and bit sockets another reason I prefer it and I got it for $65 plus shipping about $112 from a seller on mecari supposed to be less than a year old but I have had it a year now..

How do you get the sockets out that are kind of underneath the plastic at the back of the drawer
