Dominic West, who plays Ç in Netflix’s 'The Crown', has expressed his relief that the show has come to an end.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4, West shared that he was initially reluctant to take the role but said, “You don’t turn down a Peter Morgan script.”
The sixth and final season of 'The Crown' was met with some harsh reviews, particularly for scenes involving the "ghost" of Princess Diana.
When asked if he was worried how the Royals would feel about the show, he replied, “I don’t want to make their lives any more difficult…”
"All reactions worry me. I read all the reviews and spent two days in bed. So yes, I’m a sensitive soul, I worry about what people think. It’s such a relief now to go back to theater...," said West.
West’s next project is a production of Arthur Miller’s 'A View from the Bridge' at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
He admitted that there were some benefits to playing Charles III, saying, "I loved driving the cars and I loved having people bow to me.”
