I loved your tip about scribbling in!
When I remember to, I add some watercolour brush texture over the clothes and hair of my characters in the same but maybe darker colour ^W^ It isn't too noticeable but for me it adds a new dimension to the piece :> sometimes i even make the watercolour a different colour (like yellow or green on top of blue) and that creates an interesting, more natural effect to because in real life colours can mix and be different to how they seem at first! ^W^
