I'm pretty sure the Genshin team made them to work together
The details: Nearly every hit is a melt. Diluc crits melt at 56k on the regular, but a uprisingly Kaeya pulls his own with 32k melt.

Oh I have them together too. Kaeya is main dps while diluc is support and sub dps

I have c6 kaeya and he’s honestly cracked with Diluc. His burst lasts forever because of the refresh when an enemy dies and with the extra icicle too
