"An uplifting, original song that furnishes a concept of peace and oneness for humanity in deliberate contrast to John Lennon's iconic anthem, 'Imagine'."

REIMAGINE SONG LYRICS

Try to reimagine
A heaven up above
A land of endless beauty
Where all you feel is love
Where every face reflects the light
That shines forevermore

Can you reimagine
A world that points the way
To Calvary's great triumph
That ruined Satan's day
Where truth is known by every one
And every heart finds peace

I know this is more than empty dreaming
For hope is found in just one Name alone
Jesus' love calls out to every nation
And He will lead his children home

It's time to reimagine
A people that can see
That living for our neighbour
Is how we're meant to be
With every soul in one accord
All faithful to the King

I know this is more than empty dreaming
For hope is found in just one Name alone
Jesus' love calls out to every nation
And He will lead his children home

Jesus' love is reaching every nation
And He will lead his children home

I don't see this as "original, " at all.   It is almost a direct rip-off of Lennon's song,
"Imagine."   The only difference is the melody line - but the chord structure, the vocal delivery, the cadences . . .  all are pretty much the same.

I also don't see it "in deliberate contrast, " either.   Lennon's lyric suggests that when mankind overcomes greed, and ALL the things that we "compete for" and that divide us (including religious catechism) - humanity will live as one.

The only difference is that he is subscribing to the idea that "God helps those who help themselves."  eg., God is not going to do it FOR us - WE have to take responsibility and accountability for the consequences of our OWN behaviour.   YOU'RE suggesting that no matter how badly we behave - we'll ALL be saved by God in the end - so the concepts of reparation, atonement and/or compensation are not even a concern.

I follow the spiritual teachings of my 1st Nation Grandmother - as they were before the European settlers (with God on THEIR side) corrupted EVERYthing they touched.
