I don’t think it’s wrong to be on Xanax. I get prescribed it and it helps me. I have generalized anxiety disorder. I don’t think every drug has to be treated something bad. If something works leave it alone.

Xanax withdrawal affects different people in many ways. I had a friend who quit Xanax cold turkey overnight after severe chronic use and abuse. He ended up having a massive stroke from withdrawal. He is now a vegetable.

Idk what they mean by easy acess through doctors, most doctors at least in the area I live will do just about anything to keep from prescribing it unless they absolutely have to and even if they do it’s usually for anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. 10 years ago things were all lot different, the scary thing is people now by sketchy pills off the streets often laced with fentanyl and that’s even more dangerous. Sad world we live in

Xanax is a horrible withdrawal. You never want to go through them.

I have GAD, BPD, ADHD and PTSD and I owe my life to Xanax. Without my script I would have died

If you have panic disorder like I do, Xanax is a literal lifesaver. I wouldn’t be here without it. I’m 12-years in and it works the same as it always has.

I have terrible debilitating anxiety and can’t function as a normal human, I can’t work I can’t sleep I can’t do anything. All Drs want to do is give out anti depressants that make me feel sick and more anxious

Scared about the climate? Yep that keeps me up at night in a panic, sweating, almost heart attack like symptoms because of the climate. It’s way to serious of a problem for the average person to handle. That climate almost took my life until I discovered Xanax.

I am one who is going through difficult withdrawal symptoms. I know stories have produced before of this but it’s true. I went to treatment for alcohol addiction back in beginning of July and was cut off cold turkey from my prescription Xanax and Adderal. I did relapse on my beer drinking and now post symptoms of twitching, very anxious and just not feeling right! I still have a half bottle of Xanax in my home and have not touched it. I’m interested to see what this documentary is like!

I’ve been prescribed Xanax for about ten years straight. My script has gone from thirty 0.25 per 30 days to seventy 2mg bars. In all of this time I have never experienced a horrible withdrawal, and I have run out of Xanax or taken a break at least 50 times. When I get down to my last 6mg I take two days of 1mg followed by eight days 0.5mg. I learned that if I do that ween of 10 days it works every time.

let's hope that as many such awareness-raising documentaries as possible will be made. Instead of treating, as assumed, pharmacy has become a profitable industry for corporations. Not only benzodiazepines are addictive, also antidepressants, example: venlafaxine!

This documentary is actually saying nothing. It lacks detail.

Just watched this. Released today. Found it very light on depth of truth around harm and what that entails. Also ssri friendly as if it’s not just as bad! Overall on a 5star scale I’m not sure I’d even give it 1 star. Disappointing

It’s fine, I take 2 5mg a day to control tremors, and sleep at night.

The doc was an underwhelming fluff piece. It could have been so much more. Lots of people suffering from severe withdrawal trying to get off of this. 2 out of 5 stars.
