The writing continues to be so good this season. All of the characters and situations are familiar. Him being a part of the village while the girlfriend works is nuanced representation of real life.

I can see why the kid and Barbara are annoyed with Tariq but we have to admit it's really sweet that he's taking a liking to the kid lol already claiming to be his step-dad, taking him to school, telling the kid he loves him, and even wanting to rename him Tariq Jr. Lmao the guy has a big heart
