Michael W Smith - The Live Set 1987 (Full Album - Álbum Completo)

The Live Set is Michael W. Smith's first live album and features selections from two previous albums, The Big Picture and Michael W. Smith Project, and introduces three new songs.

Nothin' But the Blood is a modern re-working of Robert Lowry's classic hymn Nothing But the Blood. I Know was released to radio as a single (the radio edit is only available on The Wonder Years). Emily would later receive a studio release on 1990s Go West Young Man.

The band included Wayne Kirkpatrick, Chris Rodriguez, David Huff, Mark Heimmerman and Chris Harris. A video version of the concert was also available commercially.

I remember buying the cassette as a teenager still love it.

I found the cassette to this concert back in 1989, this was just a few years after being adopted by my grandparents. I remember listening to this tape over and over again. I kinda lost sight of how great it was and forgot about it until ‘live the life’ came out. I love that album so much I had to find that cassette and relive those songs again.. I was able to attend my first concert with my grandpa in Las Vegas where we both saw MWS perform. I will never forget that. So many great memories!

When I was a teenager, Micheal & Amy would each release a new album and tour every year. So many great memories seeing both of them and listening to their music. I had forgotten about this album. It is a great one. I had so much of the typical teenage angst back then. Yet listening to this music makes me nostalgic for that time in my life.

This was one of the best live concerts I ever attended. I saw Michael twice during Amy Grant's 'Lead Me On' tour in '88 and '89. It was the first time I heard Michael's music. I had already attended Amy's "Unguarded' tour in '86, and I also saw Amy during her "Heart In Motion' and 'House of Love' tour but I never got to see Michael perform again.

'Lamu' is my favorite track on this album and my favorite song of Michael's. Rocketown and Friends I also like, as well as the opening track

For me, this live version of ”Emily”, with its emotion and solo keyboard, is better than the polished studio version.

I was blessed to be in the Albuquerque audience for this tour. Despite sitting too close to the front speakers it was an incredible event… the ringing ears cleared up in time. What a time to be alive.
