I think you're referencing "higher low" when you say lower high? You say it twice but seem to be referring to the higher low?

I do that too for confirmation, when the high or low is broken, i wait for the market to retest it and enter immediately when i see a confirmation.

What messes with me is those intermidiate highs and lows.. what I think the market not being able to push down further always turns out to be an intermidiate or internal higher low.
