This Peter Pan is one of those movies that was so special in your childhood you think you were the only one that knew and loved it. I wonder how many private fan groups exist about this. It's nostalgic.

I unironically think this is one of the best films I've ever seen.

Wow, the best Disney Live-Action Remake wasn’t even made by Disney themselves.

Watched this movie as a kid and yes, it is the best adaptation of the book. The acting is awesome. The actor for Peter does facial expressions like a pro and captain hook is actually pretty menacing. When you're a kid at least.

I agree with you. This film is amazing. The definitive version of Peter Pan, so much heart and humanity. Dealt with coming of age expertly.

After reading the book a bunch of times, I noticed that Peter in his own way. He does love Wendy. Wendy is important to him. It was very subtle but it was there. This film did a great job on working on the chemistry between Peter and Wendy. I do personally think that Disney may copy this one a little and make some strange choices.
According to "Bounding Into Comics" they may gender bend the lost boys. That and a Instagram posted a screen shot that their Wendy is special because she can "fight", "stand on equal footing with Peter Pan and stand up for herself". Makes me wonder if they even saw the 2003 or read the original. Wendy always could, her strengths were different but she could stand up for herself. .

They should re-release this movie. It's so underrated

Props to this film for being the only version to get actual First Nation actors to play the natives and using Iroquois for the dialogue.

I saw the new Peter Pan and Wendy trailer and thought "this looks bleak." So I figured it's finally time I watched the 2003 version everyone praises. As 19-year-old who's a child at heart, I thought this movie was perfect. I don't care if it's cringe or has bad CGI; this it the best version of the story I've watched (I say version, not adaptation as I haven't read the novel). It's exciting but also dark in some moments which works really well. Peter is a fun but flawed hero, Wendy is playful but mature, and Hook is charming but terrifying. On top of that, Neverland looked exactly like how I would imagine it. So broad and colorful, nothing like the barren green island we see in the new trailer.

Ironically I found this version more fun than Hook with Robin Williams. Sure he’s a legend but I loved this version of Peter Pan. Peter actor in this is so good even if nowadays he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves cause I bet not many have seen this version

I agree this should be dubbed as the Peter Pan live action because they paid homage to the Disney animated Peter Pan in a way that most Disney live action remakes today fail at.

It also depicts Peter Pan the way J.M Barrie wrote him to be. A tragedy.

Peter Pan was based on Barrie’s brother who drowned at age 13 (in other words, he became a boy that never grew up)

So Peter isn’t a twisted demon or a great hero. He’s a tragic child who will never be able to grow up, just like David Barrie and that’s how Peter is portrayed in 2003

The movie feels like going to a camp as a kid and then leaving behind a special person. The memory is untouched, and never built on because you never see them again. Nostalgia in a bottle

I love 2003 movie, it's so warm and melancholy. One of my favorites. The sound track, the actors, the story

I love having watched this movie as a kid and now as an adult!!!🙌 The ending would always make me cry as a kid, just knowing how much Wendy would miss Peter and vice-versa. But now as an adult, it's cool to be crying for a different reason at the end in realizing how much Peter is unable to experience in life and what he's missing out on in not growing up. It really reinforced the beauty of childhood and how important it is to cherish those memories when you look back ❤

I need to watch it again!

This is the best Peter Pan movie ever! I'm afraid of that remake Disney is making... they are about to destroy the story

The first time I watched this movie was in 2015, when I was in 6th grade. We just got done with testing and the teacher who instructed our test put on a movie. She was gonna put "Frozen", but the classroom she was in only had a VCR player. So she put on this Peter Pan and I ended up loving it and having a crush on him. All the girls in my class did and we were joking that he was probably 50 years old now, not knowing the movie was made in 2003. I was born in 2002, but my closet friends at the time was born in 2003 lol.
