Nice looking enclosure but you might want to set it up on pavers so it doesn’t rot out. Strip of hardware cloth under the pavers bent up and stapled to the bottom edges will keep small critters from getting underneath

That wooden enclosure is awesome for hiding the trash cans and making it look nice, maybe it will stop smaller animals; but do you live where there are bears? I do and that would not stop them. 😂😂

Cool build. I would personally use fence pickets, Cedar or otherwise, because they are a uniform dimension, do not contain the chemical treatments that pallet wood has, and the look nicer

Se que es madera recuperada, , pero por la humedad que recibirá por encima y abajo (tierra ) y en verdad son dos ideas estupendas para el área de contenedores yo hubiera colocado pierdas o tabiques para que no se estanque el agua!! 👍🏼

Torching the bottom would help prevent the wood on the bottom from rotting… it’s a Japanese method called: Shou Sugi Ban, or yakisugi.

I find even with a similar wooden garbage box that bears can still claw their way in. They love the smell of diapers, so usually it's the households with kids that get their boxes broken into.

Trash can thing was cool. The wood rack with the exposed cinderblock was trashy.

Growing up in Saskatchewan it was a requirement that you needed a garbage enclosure to prevent animals before garbage had alleys

Those holes are still wide enough for mice to get in and that chipped board makes enough room for rats as well

Built one the darn raccoons pryed the wood door open ( broke it actually lol) went to shoe them away all but one stayed and he was the old man man was he nasty !! I tried using a roll of newspaper nope he came out swinging like Tyson was kinda funny I’m glad I didn’t get bit he definitely had fought in the streets lol
