Data EEPROM Emulation on PIC24 MCUs and dsPIC33 DSCs Using MPLAB® Code Configurator

Learn how to configure and use the Data EEPROM Emulation library using Microchip’s MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC).

The program Flash available on PIC24F MCUs and dsPIC33C DSCs can be easily used to emulate EEPROM while the abstract wear-leveling complexities are handled by the DEE library in MCC.

That's nice and all but loading the library itself is impossible using the latest MCC core version & MPLAB X IDE version. Even when the library is loaded using an older MCC core version (v5.0.1~v5.2.1), it won't show up under Device Resources.
UPDATE: Library works using the standalone version of MCC (core v5.0.1)

This looks like just what I want, however when I use MCC 5.5.7 on a dsPIC33CK128MP205 I don't get the "16 Bit Data EEPROM Emulation" library as an option. If I check the content manager it has filtered that library as not compatible. Is that correct or is that a mistake?

This is really frustrating. I'm literally using the same microcontroller as this demo and yet MCC won't show this library as supported.

Is it supposed to work with PIC24EP256GP206?

Honestly, Microchip software tools are a joke. You guys are good with hardware, and really really bad with software. So keep making hardware, and outsource software. You will do much better.
