French President Begs China To Negotiate Ukraine Peace

Despite the widespread protests engulfing his country, French President Emanuel Macron recently traveled to China to plead with Premier Xi Jinping to denounce Russia's invasion of Ukraine and bring Putin to the negotiating table. Macron was reportedly unsuccessful in gaining the denunciation, but China has expressed an interest in helping broker peace in Ukraine -- something that might help Macron at home with all those protesters.

Peace in Ukraine is the easiest thing in the world to achieve. Simply agree to Russia's reasonable demands. A neutral and demilitarized Ukraine that will never join NATO; respect for the language, culture, and history of Ukraine's national populations; and respect for the right to local self-determination, especially in those regions that have chosen to break from Kiev.
