When I was a child I had seen photos of the Nightmare Before Christmas in magazines and books, but I didn't watch the movie until later. The movie was much more whimsical than I had imagined. From the photos I thought it was a serious film.

When I watched Coraline in 3D in the cinema, I saw thin layers of the image overlapping each other. It wasn't until later in the movie that the layers 'turned' to face me and the edges lined up with each other to make an object look whole. I don't know if this was a problem with my eyes not focusing or if there was a problem with the movie projection.
