When my 86 year old mother said she loved the movie and was going back to see it again with her grandsons... That floored me. I saw it today, and now I get it. It's a gem! ALL the actors are superb, and Rami Malek is Freddie reborn. Just like the original critics of the flagship song were wrong, so are the movie critics here. It's extraordinary. I might have to follow my mother's lead and see it again.

I so admire Rami Malek for taking on this role, & giving it all he had. Casting Sasha Baron Cohen would have been a monumental mistake; it would not have been possible to take him seriously, & thankfully, the producers knew it & went with Rami instead. He seems like a good guy & a decent guy; Freddie Mercury was a complex person, multi-layered, & at times no doubt, difficult to work with, & Rami really pulled all of these parts of the man together; I admire him for giving this part all he had. He deserves Oscar recognition. 72 y/o
