Top 10 Strongest Cards of All Time [Part 2]

preview_player
Показать описание
In card games, not all cards are created equal. And that’s a good thing. If every single card was around the same power level, we’d have a very annoying and fragile ecosystem. Still, sometimes Konami prints cards that are so noticeably above the rest that they become ingrained into the playerbase’s collective consciousness. Today we’ll be taking a look at part 2 of the strongest ones to rise above their competition, mainly looking at the individual strength of the card itself, rather than it being a small piece in a larger machine. We’ll also be skipping over some very obvious cards you’re probably tired of hearing about like Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity, since it’s universally accepted that they are some of the strongest cards ever put into paper.

Painful choice and tearlaments being a war crime is an understatement if you ever seen any reports on unlimited formats that sprout up every now and then

I always felt Arise-Heart *shouldn't* have the alternative summoning condition, as summoning three level 7 monsters in Kashtiras isn't too hard to do. The alternative summoning mechanic just made him *too* easy to bring out, and he's already good as is 😅

Legitimately surprised that Utopic ZEXAL didnt make the list. That thing turns your opponent's ability to play off even harder than VFD.

"Alright, I figured out how to fix the game. First, we ban all the Tuner monsters." -Konami while Halqifibrax was legal

Man, watching the Kashtira explained video and seeing Arise-Heart at 10th is such a whiplash

Tearlaments having Painful choice is basically, a single hallway to hell with no turnbacks... merrli, scheiren, rhinoheart, havnis, or Tear kash.. pick your poison please...

Konami could buy back every single Kashtira card and pretend they never existed, and I wouldn't mind at all

The #1 strongest card is the bank card

I just realized that of all of the "Heart" monsters, none of the other Heart monsters can out Tri-Heart. Not even Arise-Heart, because they'll be in defense, and Scareclaw Tri-Heart is unaffected by defense monster effects.

Nice video as always! can you make video about Strongest cards that have never been on the banlist? Thanks!

XYZ's being able to cheat themselves out was such a dumb designee decisions. A lot of the broken ones would be fine if you had to hard play them only.

7:20 Idea to use this card and it’s “True King” kin into a Retrain of “Five-Headed Dragon”:
_True King of the Five-Ruinations_ (DARK)
Level 12
Wyrm/Fusion/Effect
_”True King of All Calamities” + “True King Lithosagym, the Disaster” + “True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer” + “True King Agnimazud, the Vanisher” + “Mariamne, the True Dracophoenix”_
_Must be Fusion Summoned. This card is Always also EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND-Attribute. Unaffected by the effects of, and Cannot be destroyed by battle by, DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, or WIND monsters. You can Tribute 3 cards from your Hand and/or Field (Quick Effect); Special Summon 1 Level/Rank 9 “True King” Monster from your Hand, Deck or GY._
ATK/5000 DEF/5000

I've played a lot of anime decks, and some of these cards surprised me. took me until first playing master duel to learn Crystron was an archetype until I tried looking up Halifibrax for a Junk deck, and never knew it was from the same pack as Isolde and the other weird archetype Link monsters. The one that honestly got me the most was Summon Sorceress though, who I always knew was good, but never knew it was best in Gouki's, which is so far my favorite deck to play ( I always just though it was some rouge deck that I ended up making and later found ways to FTK with, not some old meta threat).

Crystron halqi was and is one of my favorite cards. I started playing master duel like 2 months before it got banned in swordsoul. Good times

During Arise-Heart’s peak I was running a Purrely deck with 3 copies of Triple Tactics Talent, seeing as its effect is mandatory TTT would always be live to take control of it, and either link it off or Zeus it. If you didn’t have an out though Kashtira would crush you.

Painful Choice would be hella fun to watch in a Tearlament deck.
Just imagine getting shown one of each of the Tear Monsters LOL

Pre-errata Future Fusion revealing Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon or Chimeratech Overdragon/Fortress Dragon is better than Painful Choice.

If you thought Dark Matter Dragon was broken, needing board presence and set up, two specific levels (8) to set up on top of a Galaxy eyes monsters you need to play in the extra, and then sending only 3 dragon monsters (and letting your opponent banish 3 cards of their choice, which in modern yugioh can actually backfire in certain match ups), future fusion can send an unlimited amount of handpicked Dragon and Machine monsters to the graveyard making even Grass Looks Greener blush.

And with more fusion monsters with loose summoning conditions, it can only get better with age. Too bad it's pre-errata though, you can still use it for fun in casual play I guess and no-ban list tournaments that include every single card (pre and post errata).
