First Look At Auburn Tigers In DOMINANT 61 Point Win Over Israel U-20 National Team

For the first time in the program’s history, Auburn fans got a look at their squad on a professional stage in August. And the Tigers didn’t disappoint.

In its first game of its Birthright for College Basketball tour in Israel, Auburn blasted the Israel U-20 national team, 117-56, with plenty of production from up and down the lineup.

True freshman and former five-star big man Yohan Traore, who only arrived on Auburn's campus a few weeks ago, led all scorers with 20 points and eight boards. Fellow frontcourt newcomer Johni Broome, a transfer from Morehead State, added 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Veteran center Dylan Cardwell (12 points and 14 rebounds) and freshman guard Chance Westry (13 points) were also impressive — and, more often that not, unstoppable around the rim.

Auburn got to the rack with ease, shooting 27 free throws. The Tigers dominated with 72 points in the paint, and out-rebounded the Israel U-20 team 67-29. By the fourth quarter, the Tigers were getting into transition nearly every possession and outrunning an overmatch Israel squad.

Here's the rundown of Auburn's side of the stat sheet, plus some postgame quotes, courtesy of the program's media relations.

Thanks Swish. Good to see the guys gelling together and playing well together. Cardwell looks improved and Flanigan looks to be headed back to his old form. That will be huge.
