He didn’t complaint about it, he is just explaining the advantage of being nepotism product ! When you are outsider you are in obligation to give a successful film on your first attempt! If not you won’t even be considered for a second project! A lot of talents were thrown out easily because they failed on their first attempt! Having background is definitely advantage but there is nothing wrong in that… Cinema is not just an art but also business on other side…. People with strong background brings the extra business factor by default… for example, if I (who is nobody) debuting in a new movie today, no common audience will come and watch on first day… they may come and watch later if strong hit talk about movie content comes out but definitely nobody will come on initial days…. On the other hand, if Thalapathy’s Son or Ajith’s daughter is debuting, everybody will come on first day… that is what extra business factor which people with background brings on to the table….

Nepotism in cinema is affecting only cinema people like you . It’s there in any industry hotel, garment, jewelry. But imagine nepotism in politics, it’s affecting the common public .

You are correct. Basically, we need to understand what is nepotism. A son comes to industry because of his father is not nepotism. It happens in every industry. For example, SAC spent his own money or at least gave a guarantee to producers for money and made his son big actor. Vijay’s success entirely belongs to him and his father. But when it comes to Bollywood almost every producer or production house is ready to give another film to the star kid even though those so called rich kids had n number of failures and no sign of acting in their faces. Bollywood is celebrating star kids’ success as their entire industry success. That’s called nepotism.

Exactly! And it's worse when it comes to the artistic field, because if I want to become a lawyer or doctor I still need to study and get a degree. But without much qualifications or working as a background actor, people like Ananya get launched into big movies. They get to practice in actual movies while others have to be perfect even before their first film. It really ends up dragging the overal quality of movie industry down and is therefore problematic.
