Back in the mid 1960's, my Dad bought a Rolite camper that was on the same principal. Folding hard sides. It was a great camper.❤

I had an 06 LXE and loved it! It had all the bells and whistles. It had a couch/dinette in the rear that made into a king bed. It had A/C and heat, a 3-burner stove, microwave, sink and a 3-way fridge/freezer. I liked the wet bath with a shower and cassette toilet that you could dump in any toilet - no need to find a dump station and deal with sewer hoses, etc . I added an inverter, some drawers and shelves, and a TV/DBD player combo that fit into the rear bubble window. It had a 10-gallon freshwater tank and a 6-gallon water heater. It only weighed 1, 700lbs ready to camp, so I pulled it for over 40, 000 miles with a little 4-cylinder car, getting 23-25mpg when towing and 30+ mpg when parked. There was very little room to move around inside, though it was not claustrophobic because it has high ceilings, unlike those little fiberglass egg campers. It sold new for $15k but I got mine less than a year old for $8, 900. We used it till 2019 when I sold it for $5k to a luck camper because I bought a big motorhome to travel and live in full time. It's not cheap but we didn't have to buy a truck to pull it so save a ton of money on the cost of the truck, license, insurance, registration on it and all the extra gas it would burn. It fit in our garage, so we saved on storage charges too. ^These are the original A-frames which are built much lighter yet stronger than the Rockwood/Flagstaff clones as they are made with SIP construction, not flimsy stick and tin.
