The cafeteria food at my college is actually pretty great. They use fresh ingredients and make everything by hand. I’m a first year though, so idk how much my opinion will change by the end of my second year (it’s a two-year school)

I’m a current freshman, and our dorms have little kitchens but no cafeteria, so we gotta go grocery shopping. My roommates and I got lucky tho, there’s 5 of us and we get along really well :)

College freshman here✨
Almost 4 weeks in, and I haven’t eaten at the dining hall near my dorm since the first week. That shit’s good until you’ve gone to the bathroom for the 5th time in a day with a mysterious stomach ache🧎🏽

Watching this as a college freshman at the cafeteria right now….the food is okay at best

Graduated university in May. Can confirm the cafeteria thing. Welvome week had the best food and then after that it was aaaall downhill. Rice as hard as stone, the under seasoned food and then there was one time someone gound a larvae in their broccoli. Someone made an instagram account to critique the food.

I like to think that our crazy roommates all thought WE were the crazy ones, and therefore acted crazy so we would think they were one of us.

Cool! anyway, here is the recipe for brownies!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
4. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts into the batter.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
7. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Enjoy your homemade brownies!

Legit my second year of college a housemate of mine got kicked out the house because she was selling knock-off sneakers from her dorm room lmao

As a representative of the freshman I can confidently say that everyone thinks school food is shit.

The caf food at my school is so awful and they regularly run out. Once they're out of food for that meal they don't put anymore out so if you don't get to lunch early you have to wait till dinner for more food. This plus housing with no ac costs 15k a year 🤪

“Do I want to go race shopping carts with you in the walmart parking lot” most college thing ever 💀💀💀💀

Plot twist: my freshman roommate was a random assignment (we both took the roommate quiz) and we are still friends to this day! Not all random assignments are bad lol!

Yeah my college cafeteria wasn’t that bad but everybody knew the company they used and we hated them. Also it closed on weird hours on the weekends and I always forgot so I would go to the student center and the only thing open was Chick-fil-A. I love it but I was so sick of it by the end of the year!

Legend has it Tom is still lurking in the woods

My school’s cafeteria had actual restaurants. It wasn’t here’s what we’re serving, it was here’s a choice between 10 different places.

why do i feel like tom is based on a true story

I actually like my Cafeteria everything is fresh. Waffles are bomb, pizza is bomb and fresh, and chicken and fries too.

Cafeteria food, sorry I don't live in funny gun country. I have an actual good lunch in a lunch box
