Why I separated from Pastor Anderson

I got saved listening to Pastor Anderson’s sermon on Eternal Security.

Pastor Anderson never promoted him. Every time he even brought up this guy and their friendship he said he doesn’t promote his ministry at all.

Pastor Anderson has never promoted Calvinism for one second and probably converted thousands of Calvinists to the gospel. To say they are "yoked up" together because of one film is idiotic.

My impression of Pastor Anderson is that he is very prideful and will not allow himself to be wrong even if he is wrong. His pastor associates, look up to him as the kingpin when they should be looking to favour the real King. Just my impression.

I like pastor anderson and in fact his videos lead me to repentance. Most of what i know comes from his own content. He is the dude who got me to find a church and man up and go door knocking in my desolate area. Despite all that, i am deeply disappointed with his affiliation with that Calvinist guy. I can see how the Calvinist guy could be saved but it honestly is kind of bothersome. I can vaguely recall a sermon where Pastor Anderson was ripping on dead faith christians, or fake christianity for not taking a stand for what the bible teaches in regards to basically Leviticus 20:13... in that same sermon he mentioned cutting ties with anyone who is to much of a coward to stand up for what the bible says. I get that we are living in the flesh and the realistic expectation is that not all pastors will stand for what theyve used to stand for. I feel like Pastor Anderson hanging out with mr. "I say what people want to hear and keep to myself what i really believe" contradicts what he used to stand for. Its not to bad of a downfall compared to what weve seen with Jeff Owens, and Donnie Romero, but it certainly is a glaring issue. Im only concerned.

Totally agree. But what I don't understand is why many/most Pastors use 1 Tim. 5 out of context:

"Rebuke not an 👉elder👈, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

2 The 👉elder women👈 as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

3 Honour widows that are widows indeed."

It's clear from the context that it's not talking about a title in a local church. It's talking about being respectful to older men and women in the faith (or generally).

Funny that everybody just forgets about the importance of context for the sake of putting men on some pedestal, even when they're clearly preaching some strange private interpretations of Scripture (like Anderson).

Nobody has every thing exact. This includes yourself. We continue to learn and growing in grace of the knowledge of God. If you only preach to the choir🤷‍♀️

I appreciate both of your preaching
I respect your side of the story but I also respect Pastor Anderson’s. I appreciate you being true to what you believe, with that being said I don’t know what level he is “yoked” to anyone who is bad, but truth always come to the light whether he’s right or wrong, or if you are right or wrong.

Life begets life. Only if you are saved you can get others saved as well... we don't have to agree on everything here on earth except salvation by faith alone and OSAS.
At the end of the day we will all be in heaven as long as we trust in Jesus as stated in Acts16:31

Pastor Major and Pastor Anderson are both saved and both do great works for God. They may have parted ways like Paul and Barnabas but they will surely both be in heaven 🙏
