I once owned (latter 1980s) a '72 F100 short wheelbase, that had a '70 grill.
Previous owner had dropped a 460 in it, from a '74 Lincoln.
Backed by a C6 transmission.
It was a tire scorching beast.
Unfortunately, the rear gears were super low... somewhere around 4:56 (I don't recall exactly).
I could lift the front tires about 6" off the ground at launch.
But it was geared so low, that top speed was about 90mph.
And it got about 8mpg.

I'm not a big Ford fan like I am with Chevy, but that's a damn nice Ford. I drove a 70 Ford truck when I worked on the farm. It had a 390 and I gave that poor truck hell lol. Until my buddy's dad caught me. Then I had to drive the old beater truck. The beater was so weak my farts had more hp lol
