Sheikh is absolutely right. This is practiced here in subcontinent. But people mostly just put a headstone with name of the deceased and his/her father. And cover it with cement because, there have been cases of people digging out bodies of muslims and selling them/trafficking them to be used by non-muslims in research or stuff. Also, there are people who are cannibals and even worse (which I wont mention). Also, there are cases of people digging up a grave for deceased only to find another old body of a muslim burried underground. So they have to cover that and dig another place. So to prevent digging of old graves they put a headstone and cement.

Plxx tell me is it permissible to put iron fencing around grave??

In Pakistan, you won’t see a single grave that doesn’t has that marble structure on top of it ( I never saw a grave that only had sand on top it )
