Ex-Paramore Guitarist Josh Farro Forms Band 'Novel American'

Josh Farro left the band Paramore, and missed out at the Grammy's but the guitarist is more unified than ever! Stay tuned for the details.

What's up everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ClevverMusic, coming to you from our Hollywood studios.

Josh Farro left Paramore in mid-December with his brother, drummer Zac Farro. They claimed the band's management and label had favored singer Hayley Williams while keeping the other band members "in the dark the whole time."

This didn't stop Josh from rocking out because according to MTV, Farro has formed the group Novel American with singer Van Beasley, drummer Tyler Ward and bassist Ryan Clark. They plan to record their debut EP soon.

On the flip side the band Paramore moves on by recruiting guitarist Justin York and drummer Josh Freese as temporary replacements for their South American tour, which kicks off Feb. 16.

Yes, Josh and Zac formed a band called paramore (except it wasn't called paramore at that stage...) but Hayley and Jeremy were already in a band together and the band we know as paramore is an amalgamation of those two bands. Since she joined, Hayley has been the creative centre and driving force of the band.

When I knew that Josh and zac left the band I was like dying because I really liked them...
I'm a great Paramore's fan and really I'm so sad about it...
However, Josh didn't think at all, 1 thing is that men prefere Hayley, she's beautiful and what he thought it was so wrong...

paramore started with the farror brothers....hayley was the last member to join....i love the brothers and dont think paramore will ever be the same...that being said ill take paramores famous word paramor was a band paramore is a band paremore will be thee band....i still love them and i think i always will

they've definitely grown from their departure. i think their doing fine now. they've moved on. and so have the farro brothers. everything happens for a reason. paramore is on they're self titled tour this fall now. they've even made it to MSG. a life long dream for them. maybe it was for the better. (:

to answer ur question look @ where they are now, 7 months later. Paramore has released their next single monster (transformers soundtrack) just finished doing a mini south pacific tour, and genuinely seem happier and stronger than ever. Novel America already has 2 ex members, they dont have lead singer, havent released an EP or any music at all, and probably no time soon

@LilyNThorns not to mention the Beatles' 'Let it Be', written in spite and anger and now a classic. Or (+44)'s 'No, It Isn't', or AVA's 'Rite of Spring', or, indeed, 'Miz Biz' itself. The list goes ever on...

I think they will be able to move on with the temporary replacements, they love what they do and are strong enough to overcome the obstacles that they face. It's sad to see the old members leave but it's what they chose to do. I still hope that maybe one day they'll all be back together and even though they're not now, Paramore still makes awesome music.

I love Josh and Zac either way. Hayley obviously like every lead singer got the most attention. Which isn't quite fair but that's how it works. I respect them for sticking up and making a choice instead of just going along with it.Obviously their sound has changed, and i liked them better back when the Farro brothers where there, i think it shows just how much work they did for the band but i still love both of them.

@thejim619 Justin York is Taylor York's brother. He was Josh's temporary replacement for when he was getting married.

@janyli thats not right, it was her dad who wanted her to be a solo artist, but she always wanted to be in a band.

@ParamoreCrazies thanks for replying and agreeing. when i met paramore or heard them all i could think was hayley hayley hayley but there were guitar solos and josh farro singing in my heart by paramore so i love and still do all of them

Paramore were (you'll see why I use 'were') noting more than a project for Hayley Williams. The Farro brothers have been given a blessing in disguise by leaving the band and can now finally show their true worth as talented musicians.

it was out there that Josh wasnt happy and Hayley saw that and stayed the same for him and once he left he was able to be herself for once along with Taylor and Jeremy.

@LilyNThorns continued... Yes, Josh composed a lot of the music, but Hayley and Taylor also compose, so creatively he's not much of a loss. He behaved despicably in the way he announced the split, but I wish him well in the future.

what he meant by "in the dark" is that the other band members didn't know what was happening. There were times when only Hayley went to meetings and signed the contracts (they weren't informed of) ...sooo... yeah :)
