I'm mixed AND known to say corny stuff so I guess I'm perfect for this review! Oh, and shout-out to Chappelle's Show for inspiring the intro...I'M How'd you guys feel about this album? And feel free to share your list of favorite Logic projects in order! Also - when I said "soft synthy production" during the suicide hotline part, I meant to say "soft string production". Just a lil' slip-up!

If album was about being black 5/5.
If album was about being white 0/5.
Album is about being black and white 2.5/5.

I'm reading too much into this.

kdot is the only rapper in years that i have heard that really did a social commemtary albulm amazingly... he wasnt too preachy or blunt, he told it in a beautiful way. he really goes deeper than most of these damn rappers trying to make social commemtary albulms.

Btw, id sign everything you said in that review. I really expected more from him. There were a couple of good songs but thats not what i was expecting. I feel like whenever i want an artist to stay the same they change on the next album (J.Cole, Joey Badass) and one time i want an artist to try something new he comes back with the exact sam sound and flow...
At the end of the day i appreciate his mixtapes and ill always listen to them.
For some reason i just love the state of mind, rappers are in, when they are coming up or still struggling. I feel like thats when they invest the most.

Thanks for the review Luke. Not a big on Logic fan but I do like this flow/style and good MC. Might give this a listen but I might stick to his first record.

I relatively agree with all of your statements, but I have to give this album a 3 or a 4/10. Like you and Fantano mentioned, the messages were really heavy handed but still clumsy. The worst song on the project for me was the 1-800 song. Coming from a person that has had those feelings a few years ago and had to go to a mental hospital to sort that shit out, I know first-hand that Logic went completely surface level for that song. I think it puts out a horrible message that all a suicidal person needs is a person to tell them that they shouldn't die. I'm not saying that doesn't help, but it definitely doesn't come close with solving the problem by itself. I'm surprised you didn't mention the "Woo! Who can relate?" since you ranted about it on Twitter. I also think this album's production was way too grandiose. It wasn't particularly bad, but I got bored of the sound and wanted different kind of beats. I think Logic has been declining ever since Under Pressure. My main criticism before was the fact that he borrowed too much from his contemporaries. So it baffles me that he still did worse when he finally sounds like he came into his own on this project. Not to mention that this was the first time that I actually noticed Logic having horrible bars like the sodomy line and cum in her mouth line. I apologize for my long-winded comment.

I respect your opinion and you being an Eagles fan. Hope the AFC starts to get better soon because even though I'm a pats fan it's not good for a few teams to dominate a conference.

I hate this album and it pains me to say that cause I've been following Logic since his Young Sinatra mixtapes and remember rushing out to my local store to pick up Under Pressure to show my support when it was brand new so I came into this project with both optimism and an open minded. What I got was a mess, Logic says the album is meant to personify the POV and experiences of "Everybody" hence the title yet he gets so obsessed with his own views and experiences being biracial that he never gives as much focus to other types of people as he should considering the concept.

Not only that but he spends the whole album painting whites as villains all while showing love to blacks without critique or scrutiny to them aside from "They called me white boy", (as Shawn Cee points out, it feels like he's desperate to be embraced by Black culture at the expense of his white side) a couple bars here and there shouting out gays or aboriginals isn't enough to equally represent "Everybody" so Logic fell short on every level to me with this album. It has plenty of good stuff about it too but its definitely Logic's weakest project to date and I was left very disappointed.

very very weak album... I was very dissapointed but tbh it's weird cuz I didn't really love any logic project since UP. mixtape young broke and infamous - under pressure was his stretch all amazing projects to me however this album blows... the best thing about this album to me was honestly j cole just for his verse mainly cuz of the words his flow wasn't anything special but I enjoyed him the most. Logic on the final track was going I wanted more of that the rest of it was redundant. some of Logic's verses on the album where the frigging vocal effects and repeating words ruined his verses. Black thought and Chuck D dissapointed me their verses were too short and I wanted a killer Mike rap feature not a spoken word however mike still killed it I loved his agression and passion that he has in his speech.
