I wrote to Omega concerning their ambassador program. I had met Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise. He was wearing a Timex. It felt like a missed opportunity. The reason Omega was awarded the Silver Snoopy had everything to do with the guy wearing a Japanese watch. A big portion of the heritage Omega uses to push watches is based on Fred and his crew mates. Their ambassador program is full of many less historically important people.
