2014 Corolla Fog lights H11 or H16 bulbs

2014 Corolla fog light uses H16 bulbs. H11 fits but due to its high wattage it will burn your reflector housing.

To swap out bulbs just unclip the connector, turn the bulb and pull it out. Removing the fog lights makes it way easier to change the bulbs. You need a wratchet with a 10mm socket to open the bottom panels that give you access to the fog lights (there are 2 screws only) Using a short philips screw driver remove both screws holding the fog light on the DRIVER SIDE.
On the PASSENGER SIDE you have to turn the wheel all the way to the LEFT and remove 2 clips that hold the spash guard to the bumper. These clips pop OUT with a very thin flat head. Once the splash guard is loose you will see the 2 screws holding the fog light. Now, using a longer philips screw driver reach in there and undo the 2 screws. The reason why you need to turn the wheel left and move the splash guard is because the WASHER FLUID tank sits very close behind the Right fog light and the space is tight.

Nice Highlander comes stock with H16, had some 5000K color H11 that I thought will fit but it did not. Accessing a 2015 highlabder foglight is a PITA BTW.

Using a H8 is best, H11 in place of a H16 is a gamble, the H8 is a 35 watt and works well.

so the difference is on wattage one is 19 watt the other is 55w...just abit worried if I put h11, will the wire able to withstand the much higher power bulb. My manual says its h16 19 watt, I know with h11, it will be brighter, but will it fry the wiring....that's I don't know for sure

h11 has higher wattage right and the glass part of the bulb is longer compare to h16. if so, it's going to burn your lens.

Buenas, yo creo que la diferencia del foco no está en la entrada sino en el conector y eso deberías de comparar porque la parte del socket puedes ponerle un adaptador
