The Dragon Game application

The Dragon game is a discovery game that uses augmented reality and takes you on a legendary quest along the Heartland of Legends route. Use your phones or tablets to scan real life locations of fountains in Cyprus. After you finished your scan, a small story will unfold in front of you that will depict dragons from the Cypriot mythology while learning about the history of the fountain.

The application design and the dragons are inspired by the unique works of the Cypriot engraver Hampis Tsangaris winner of the Heritage Award / Europa Nostra.

The Dragon game is linked to the Heartland of Legends route created by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism that promotes inland tourism and showcases Cyprus' tangible and intangible cultural heritage and folklore.

The project was implemented in collaboration with the CYENS Center of Excellence and the School of Engraving "Hambis Haraktis" and was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The Game can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple Store.
