Vice Squad (1953) Film Noir Crime Film Starring Edward G. Robinson

Capt. Barnaby (Edward G. Robinson), leader of the Los Angeles Vice Squad, is trying to track down the murderers of a beat cop. To do this, he pulls some strings to coerce help from Mona Ross (Paulette Goddard), the madam behind a local escort ring. Using this lead and further help from an informant, Barnaby hunts down a pair of bank robbers he suspects are the killers. However, the criminals prove to be hard to catch, so Barnaby must stay determined.

There are only three other men who have the same film noir gravitas that Edward G. Robinson does: Humphrey Bogart, Robert Mitchum and Sterling Hayden. All four have that certain something that makes their movies stand out and shine. Love this film!

Robinson is always very classy& real old-fashioned Hollywood Gold..today's hollywood garbage just cannot even compare.love finding any of his I haven't seen..way worth watching.so many great lines..great acting.thanks

I have watched this one several times. Wonderful! I love Edward G. Robinson. The Stranger is a great movie too. Edward G. Robinson is hunting a Nazi war criminal is that one. Excellent cast too. If you like this one, you will like that one as well.
