Doesn’t matter if it was not the most polished match. It was stinking hot and the K Leaguers were an All Star team so hardly had practised. But it wasn’t a boring 1-0. Our frisky types were having fun. Lankshear is a natural striker: he eats, drinks, and sleeps goals. Kulu also impressed again. He’s loving playing on the half turn.

Also remember Scottish, Korean and Japanese league is way better than the Swedish league. Being this impressive so early is mind blowing.

Very good summary, agree with all your player comments. Maddison and Sarr need to up their game! That first 15 minutes of second half we were overrun cos we kept a lot of the first half players on and they looked tired, whereas K-League team changed almost entire 11, and they are fitter at their mid-season. (And yes our new signing Yang looks very promising).

I'm actually quite concerned about the amounts of goals that we concede. Granted, I do understand that our best defenders haven't been a part of pre-season, but this sooner or later needs to be addressed. Winning clubs need to be able to keep cleansheets.

We do understand that the team we played was average at best, and we conceded 3 goals, start talking about him in those terms once he's played well against City, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle

Bergvall does not remind me of Modric at all, he moves and plays just like De Bruyne, Modric has a totally different style to Bergvall

Jung Jae-hee contributed to his team's victory in the 2020 K League FA Cup and was the FA Cup MVP. He plays as a winger or midfielder, but honestly, based on today's game, Yang Min-hyuk did not perform up to his potential. The players supporting Yang Min-hyuk were not in sync, and he played too cautiously. However, it is clear that Yang Min-hyuk has great potential in terms of speed, physicality, and individual skills. Although today's match might be disappointing, his potential is undeniable.

I totally agree that some of the young guys look good. But what worries me is are they going to be integrated into a team with good mentors? I know people will straight out call me negative after we have won all our pre season games. But all of these games are games we should be winning, and at times we were made to look a bit silly at the back. I understand that it hasnt been our first team defenders, but youd think at this level, anyone coming in would atleast look like they know what they are doing.
But anyway, my biggest issue is that going forward we are so predictable. Yes, weve scored goals, but our prem rivals must be watching this and loving life. We just postage stamp to the whole world what we are going to do every single time we go forward.

While Sonny stole the show, MotM, Donley was the player that took my attention some wonderful link up play , missed in the second half when their player Jae-Hee Jung ( ?) absolutely shredded it on that wing. In spite of four goal, the chances wasted, especially the open ones did make it for a closer contest, than the first half threatened. Austin punching, instead of catching, did irk me some . Another overall performance with the youngsters fitting in well and shinning, for a less sharp looking performance, but with great fluidity in the play. CoYS!

Barnaby correct we concede to many goals and these are not great teams, its because this manager STILL has not addressed the crazy space we leave down the channels when udogie and porro get forward.
We NEED a DM to protect the defense and make a 3rd man simple fix this mad system makes good defenders look bad we conceded 61 goals last season with a defence of udogie porro van der van Romero MADNESS...
