RE-COMPARED Xiaomi 14 Ultra VS Vivo X100 Pro Camera Comparison

Its finally time for us to check out how these phones have improved with software updates... a lot is riding on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra due various issues it faced at launch.

Just wanted to clarify that 8K on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra still needs better stabilization... however its gotten better than what it was before... lets just say that its gone from "unusable" to "barely worthwhile".

what i see from x100 pro is slightly greenish tone tbh. i like xiaomi 14 ultra more. not to mention the 14-bit ultra raw dng of 14 ultra is just insane. captures very rich colors and shadow details

also if you like something natural, nothing comes as close as pixel 8 pro right now. sure it can be a bit on the coldish side but it's very close to what you get with a $1500 mirrorless in terms of colors. x100 pro just looks too greenish if you're used to pixel color science. xiaomi 14 ultra is also a bit warmer but at least the color science is not greenish. i really hate greeny skin tones

Night pictures looks great on Xiaomi, realistic processing (shadows are dark, it's so simple yet rare in phones) and no oversharpening. Respect for Vivo but night belongs to Xiaomi. Good comparison bro, keep them coming.

I facing an issue with VIVO X100 PRO in normal photo mode
Zeiss Natural and Vivid has skin tone issues when Sky or light behind the subject ( especially for dark skin )
Its like talcum powder applied in dark skin with less details

I have black skin so I cant use vivid or natural in outside when light behind the me
Any other way to adjust this? Textured mode is perfect but we also have to use other modes. So any fix for this?

I heard Xiaomi 14 Ultra also facing this same issue, maybe due to large sensor

I do understand those who choose Xiaomi, but for me, it's like totally different worlds. Vivo processing capability is miles ahead

For whatever it's worth. The Chinese variant of the 14U has a 120mm (5x) portrait mode. Think it showed up a couple updates ago... Firmware 1.12, if I'm not mistaken.

For night use Vibrant if you need phone type ai processing similar to Vivo
To avoid motion blur use fast shot mode, but it has no nigh/HDR

As someone who always only take portraits. I will go in for the vivo. Plus I really don't like contrasty photos. And the fact that a photo is contrasty and dark doesn't make it natural

The HDR camera tab/feature causes focus/dimming issues on the Vivo x100 Ultra. Did you have that on or off?

3:50 on the Xiaomi the paint look more saturated because the brightness...hdr and AI made the background on the vivo darker
