Hey everyone, over the past week everyone has let me know about the A.I. comics channels that have been taking my videos. I have tried my best to flag videos, but I need all of you to help me out, because I can't keep up with the sheer amount of them across platforms. So with the mentality of "All tides raise ships". Do me a solid, when you see something that's just a bit too similar? Call em' out.

I hear every single one of you. Thank you for helping youtube become my career. I will continue to work my ass off. Thank you for 200k!

I think the new origin is pretty interesting since it shows just how insane Joker is. This dude literally gave himself multiple personalities just to fuck with Batman. That's dedication

For added context for people that don't know, three Jokers was supposed to be this really cool twist that was going to have this amazing explanation but then a bunch of multiversal stuff happened and they sort of just put out a comic years later to address it while sort of dropping the original plotline and putting the comic itself into a gray zone of cannon

DC writters competing of who makes the most convoluted retconned story

I’m never gonna get over how Batman doesn’t just ask the chair to clarify the details

It's important that Joker...

1 - Is not the person who killed Bruce's parents.
2 - Is no one special.
3 - Never has his true identity (canonically) revealed.

Joker sees a kinship with Batman because they both identify as what seems to be an "alter ego." From their perspective, they're only in disguise when NOT in costume.

The audience understands the essence of what (modern) Joker is, and so a complete backstory will only ruin him. He's a mentally unstable guy who rose up the ranks in the criminal underworld. He likely suffered a great deal of abuse as a child, is anarchistic and highly intelligent, and wins battles due to creativity, ruthlessness, and charisma.

The Dr. Captio retcon is somehow even WORSE than the three jokers. The idea of joker receiving training is completely antithetical to him being a chaotic force

Three Jokers wasn’t a bad story but I’m waaay happier now that it officially isn’t cannon. I HATE the idea that Batman has known the Joker’s identity for years and hasn’t told anyone just because.

It’s better that Batman and the readers don’t know who The Joker is. He shouldn’t have an identity, it ruins the purpose of the character.

I actually like the three jokers and I kind of wanted it to be a joker war or coat of the joker. I kind of wish they tied this new origin story and with this

Three Jokers was excellently written... As an Elseworlds story.

Bequtifully illustrated nods to classic issues from across the history of the Batman comics, and written with the same ideas in mind.

But it was never going to work in continuity. That was pretty clear from the fact that Bats was wearing the "Batman Incorporated" costume from before the New 52.

The classic idea of the enigma of the Joker has always worked better, and this latest iteration is just a rehashing of the idea that the Joker reinvents himself every few years.

Like the "Super Sane" joker idea that kept cropping up in the early 2000s to explain the Joker's perspective and ever changing characterizations.

I feel this thing with the compartmentalized personality, and the three Jokers will likely be discarded again in the near future in exchange for the "enigmatic" joker origin.

As it always seems Joker works best when his origin is multiple choice- and all the choices are wrong.

The Three Jokers was genuinely amazing and dove into what makes Joker such a great villain. I don’t know why people hate it so much, as if it wasn’t one of the most anticipated and loved storylines when it came out.

“Thank God”??? Man Black Label Three Jokers felt like such a satisfying bookend to Killing Joke & Under the Red Hood to me. I was glad when they concluded the mystery ofc, but I felt like the entire arc was pretty in line with what we’ve come to see from the Joker so far within comics, and the ending itself, while definitely feeling rushed, was pretty good imo. Only things i disliked was how easily Jason killed The Clown & how Jason X Barbara get setup but is never resolved in any way.

Honestly i absolutely hate this retcon. Dont get me wrong, it is a fascinating and totally cool concept that wouldve been amazing if it had been the idea that came out first.

However, the Three Jokers concept is just infinitely better in so many ways. It introduces an element of almost unstoppable chaos to the Batman timeline. How can Batman ever truly know if the Joker that he locks up is the true or even thr last Joker. Its kind of like a Joker contingency plan to combat Batman.

To retcon it in this manner is an absolute insult.

I'm sorry but what about "Joker : The man who stopped laughing" ? That one was so good! I loved how the narration loops back to the beggining and shows you that it's not about who the Joker is, because it's all a joke! Joker is just him, insane chaos mostly in a neat suit.

Hot Take: I still like Three Jokers. You could see that as the Pre New 52 version of this with how it has a lot of stuff nodding to before that continuity shift.

I actually liked Three Jokers and are you honestly saying that 3 separate parts of Joker's mind is better? Despite us seeing 2 of them die?

this doesn't sound like "it's dead" it sounds like it took the clean ending of the three jokers that kills two of them off and allows for a take it or leave it canonicity that actually ended the plotline, dug it up and added a layer of confusion to it.

this is like the opposite of "finally dead"

But if there's one "true" joker now, why did the chair respond "there are 3"? 3 personalities inside one man doesn't change that man's identity, so the chair should've said his name

The problem is they revealed to much, I liked the idea of there being three separate jokers, but you don’t know if they’re three unconnected people, all successors in a lineage of jokers, the same person taking on different personas, or something else entirely. The mystery surrounding the joker is one of the best parts of the character.
