We are proud to announce TWO of the newest additions to the Tatula family of reels. Truly the most purpose driven reels we have ever built, the Tatula Elite and Tatula Elite P/F have arrived. We have reengineered our spool design and Magforce Z braking system in each reel to cater to specific tasks. The Tatula Elite is designed for maximum casting distance with minimal effort, and the Tatula Elite P/F (Pitch and Flip) has been built with the ideal features for a pitching and flipping reel. The redesigned Magforce Z braking system coupled with our all new low mass spool in the Tatula Elite combine to make this the one of the longest casting reels on the market. Our Tatula Elite P/F Magforce Z system has been reengineered to cater directly to pitching and flipping, altering the magnetic pressure as the spool starts to slow. While on a low trajectory path, this allows the lure to get maximum distance and a more silent entry. With aluminum frame and side plates on both models for durability, these two reels will quickly become a necessary addition to the arsenal of any skilled angler.

Actually looking to get this reel for all around use. Love the shallow spool for easier casting with light baits PLUS that long handle with those knobs looks killer.

Need to come up with a better drag handle system than that star. Have cut my hands open on hook sets numerous times. Maybe the bigger handle will help eliminate it.

The spool on the pitch and flip is not lighter. The regular elite has a 14g spool and the p/f has a 17g spool. Not sure how it gained weight since it has a shallower spool. Not going to lie I'm alittle disappointed with the advertising a shallower lighter spool. Just a heads up to anyone buying it, don't listen to the pros.

Flippin that button is a good advantage. But it doesn’t take 2 or 3 seconds to switch hands .

Because of the shallow spool, should I still use a mono backing before putting the braid on?

I would like to ask if this rod is also good for skipping technique? Thank you

You lose all the advantage by having to switch hands if you are right handed you should be using a left hand reel

I bought the p/f reel and opened the box and I can’t get the spool tension knob to turn without using pliers. $260 reel. I really liked this reel until I tried to turn that knob and it won’t turn.

i appreciate DAIWA making a specific reel for flip and pitch

but the differences are only handle, spool depth and reversible clutch?

i hope there’s more than that

otherwise, there is no real innovation in my eyes

but im not a flipping/pitching guy... so i wont know much for this reel

anyhow... great work DAIWA’s team
