A gallbladder removal is much better as a precautionary step than to have oneself rolled into emergency surgery with a ruptured gall bladder which could lead to
1)a peritonitis,
2) the gall stones could cause ur bile to backflow into liver causing acute hepatitis,
3) the stones could move down if it shrinks and block ur pancreatic ducts causing acute pancreatitis!! Terrible pains.
4) or none of this could happen and over time the repetitive inflammation can cause cancer!
So...yeah removal was a wise call.

I'm 25 and have had the pains for years before they finally took me serious and i requested an endoscopy. I tried everything, diet, excersize, lifestyle changes, etc. Ive always been moderately healthy and a good weight. Get it removed. I'm so happy that they found the solution and it's getting removed.

Im 37 and My gallbladder was gangrenous aka dead. So the surgeon removed it. I been dealing with pain for 10 years. I wonder how long it took for my gallbladder to die? Thankful to be alive.

You made the right call honey.believe me you don't want to have a emergency gallbladder removal.the recovery is awful and long with the drains. They have to go in your back under your ribs and recovery is 4 times as long as a standard robotic chocectomy

Yep. I had the same experience. Certain foods caused pain on my right side. I was told my gallbladder was inflamed and really wasn’t given any alternative other than surgery. I got it removed basically trusting what the doctors told me. That was 15+ years ago and I’m doing fine but I question doctors now.

Just had mine removed much better no pain. Recovering is painful, but does go away.

I suspect you would have eventually needed to have your gall bladder out. There are sometime nasty complications if you don’t .. I had pancreatitis and was very poorly

Im writing this while having a gallstone attack 😭😭 i had my first attack early last year it stopped and yesterday it came back im so scared my kids are too my little one is 1 year and saying mommy is crying i feel so terrible 😞
