people who didn't like the new album just don't feel atmospheres, the instrumentals were extremely good and he transmitted the feeling of a distopian cybercity very well.
Dunes soundtrack is similar it just fits the images perfectly, tbh part 1+2 are some of the best movies I've EVER seen, I've never been sucked into an universe like that and just FELT the characters and story, the only other piece of media that was able to do that is my favorite video game (bloodborne) which has a crazy indescribable atmosphere as well. You just wanna experience those worlds. It's modern art.
