Highway one is an essential disaster response route through Sumas to the interior of BC.
The 2015 report detailing the risk of the Sumas river flooding was not addressed by the federal and provincial governments.
Municipal funding alone could not fix this recurring problem.

Looks like our 10 year drought has ended in BC and our reservoirs are slowly being refilled. Shame all this fresh water isn't being catch/harvested and stored for future uses and is just ending up as (flood & storm) run off.

Looks like it is good for mother-nature. People can move somewhere else. Yukon, for example. Plenty of room.
