Ancient China [Part 1 - Historical Background up to Chinese Philosophy] - World History Lecture

In this Lecture, I will discuss the historical background of Ancient China and the Yellow River Valley Civilization up to the rise of Chinese Philosophies. This Lecture covers topics such as the geography of Ancient China, the importance of the Yellow River or Huang He, important Chinese inventions, rise of the Shang and Zhou (Chou) dynasties, importance of Oracle Bones, Chinese Philosophy with the rise of Confucius and Confucianism, filial piety, Taoism (Daoism) and Lao Tzu, the Art of War and Sun-Tzu, importance of Yin and Yang, rise of Legalism in China.

Good evening professor Simon, in the picture of the Chinese inventions, it says they invented lacquer, is that when the Chinese women started using black lacquer on their teeth? or was that much later in the history of china?
